The Nagel-TBT DM500 deep hole drilling machine has a solid drill diameter capability over of over three inches (80 mm) and is designed in the traditional flat-bed style, but employs the latest deephole machine technology available: Polymer concrete filled machine base, rack and centric gear headstock drive system, and servomotor driven drill spindle and oil pressure head carrier.

The polymer concrete filled machine base substantially reduces vibration and noise.
The oil pressure head is driven by its own servomotor and centric gear along the same precision rack as the drill spindle and can be supplied with either a chuck or clamping cone for workpiece clamping.
Model DM500 with two steadies shown.
If requested, Nagel-TBT will work with the customer’s chosen BTA tooling supplier to develop the deephole drilling process or to ensure existing BTA STS tooling can be utilized.
