Our universal gundrill fixture is usable on conventional tool grinding machines.  The advantages of the fixture, which we use also on our TBT universal grinding machine, are obvious:  Compact device for sharpening all standard geometry for single fluted gundrills Support for long gundrills during the grinding operation.

• Two different clamping ranges (0.1” – 1.25” and 0.2” – 1.75”)

• Adjustable in three axles, allowing the re-grinding of all facet gundrills

• Special fixture insert allowing the re-grinding of even the smallest gundrill (0.035” – 0.14”).  This fixture is equipped with a special light and 20-fold magnifying glass.

The TBT grinding spindle and TBT Universal Grinding Fixture are mounted on a small, but stable base plate.  The system is complete and ready for usage, permitting optimal re-grinding of all your facet gundrills.  The double grinding wheel will help you to maintain the best grind quality. As an option we offer a complete machine base and a dust collection system.

A highly precise, TBT double spindle grinding machine, designed for accurate re-sharpening of larger series gundrills that have the same cutting edge geometry within the diameter range from 2,0 to approx. 20 mm.  Up to five different grind positions allow a pre-setting of all necessary angles for a five facet grind.  This simplifies the re-grinding of standard gundrills. The transverse oscillation of the spindle unit is executed electromechanically.   The advantages of the TBT two-spindle grinding machine:

• Cut geometries only have to be adjusted once:  As a result, all tools will be ground exactly the same.

• The replaceable clamping plate allows pre-setting of different grind geometries.

• With only a few set of clamping elements, the complete range of tool diameters can be covered.
